Family fun and festivities at Changi Airport

With the September school holidays and Children’s Day just around the corner, we get that planning a day filled with exciting activities for your kids can get a little overwhelming. Not to worry, we’ve got you covered.

With numerous activities happening at Changi Airport this September, take this opportunity to engage in some family bonding. Check out what we’ve prepared and get ready for a fun and fulfilling day out with your family!

11:00am: A playground with an incredible view of aeroplanes

Start your day off at the public playground at the Terminal 1 viewing gallery. Not only will your kids be able to run around freely, you can also relax and enjoy the view of the planes on the runway.

If your children are fans of the hilarious Mr. Bean, be sure to check out the Mr. Bean-themed playground, Teddy & Me by SingKids, at Terminal 3 as well.

The best part – You don’t have to worry about your kids getting sweaty and having to change their clothese. The air-conditioned playground keeps them cool and comfy!

12:00pm: Fill those growling tummies at lunch with Hello Kitty

From 11:00am to 2:00pm every weekend till 8 October 2017, kids dine for free with every adult main course ordered at the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Café, or any of our 13 participating outlets.

At the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Café, you’ll be greeted with blooming orchids, lush greenery and life-sized Kitty figurines which make the perfect backdrop for a family “we-fie”.

To stay energised for the second half of the day, we recommend the Big Breakfast Surprise which comes with creamy scrambled eggs, shiitake mushrooms, smoked duck slices, and a mouthwatering Kitty waffle topped with cheese.

If you’re craving for something spicy, opt for Captain’s Favourite Curry, Hello Kitty’s rendition of Penang’s popular Kapitan chicken curry which will delight your senses!

To top it off, all children will receive a special kids pack at these outlets with no minimum spend required. It will include colouring pencils, colouring books, and a paper model to keep them entertained while waiting for their food to be served.

Do remember not to toss your receipts as you will need them later!

1:00pm: Flaunt your creativity at the Wood Block Rubbing Station

Take a breather after lunch and head to the Wood Block Rubbing Station – where you and your kids can create unique colorful imprints by rubbing wood block surfaces that are inspired by local culture and Changi Airport.

If you feel like walking your lunch off, go ahead and do some grocery shopping at the supermarkets nearby, or surprise your kids with a gift from Kidztime, Mini Toons, The Little Shop or one of the many retail stores located nearby.

If you have younger children, a nursing area is located conveniently beside the playground for a quick pit stop if needed.

2:00pm: Don’t miss out on the Changi Loves Kids carnival this September!

With carnival rides like the Carousel and Heli-Jet, as well as game stalls and dazzling performances, this is a stop your kids won’t want to miss! Partner your child, and flaunt your parent-child teamwork at carnival game stalls like the Ring Toss and Feed the Lion for a chance to win attractive prizes.

Get access to all the fun by digging out those receipts, with a minimum spend of S$60 (or S$80 at the supermarket), to redeem 3 sets of Carnival Passes. Find out more here.

4:00pm: Zoom down one of the tallest slides in Singapore

Every $10 you spend at Changi gives your child the chance to zoom down one of the tallest slides in Singapore, towering over four stories high.

If the slide seems too intimidating, you can always start them off with a preview of the fun they will have with a free ride down the one-and-a-half storey slide.

Children’s Day Festivities

Let your kids get lost in a fairytale or two during the storytelling session(s) brought to you by the National Library Board over Children’s Day weekend (6 – 8 October 2017).

Paint a peacock feather, and see your masterpiece on display

Embrace your child’s inner Picasso and the Deepavali festivities by joining in the community efforts of painting a peacock display art piece from 9 to 10 September.

Your child will be able to let his or her creativity bloom with the amazing range of colored paints available. These painted peacock feathers will then be touched up before going on display in October 2017.
