Changi Airport has once again been recognised as the best airport in Asia Pacific under the category of airports with over 40 million passengers. The award was among the five titles it clinched at the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Airport Experience Awards 2024. It marks the seventh consecutive year that Changi Airport has achieved this accolade from the Airports Council International (ACI) World, in partnership with Amadeus, a travel technology company. ACI is an organisation of airport authorities around the world focussing on championing industry best practices and airport standards.
Changi Airport is also among the few airports to have won in all five departure categories of the ASQ Awards - “Best Airport over 40 million Passengers in Asia-Pacific", “Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Asia-Pacific", “Easiest Airport Journey in Asia-Pacific", “Most Enjoyable Airport in Asia-Pacific" and “Cleanest Airport in Asia-Pacific".
The winners are determined exclusively by passengers. Surveys were conducted with travellers at airports, covering as many as over 30 performance indicators across key elements of the passenger’s airport experience.
In 2024, Changi Airport continued to set new standards with the introduction of exciting events, new facilities and a wide range of shopping and dining options, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience for all travellers. The launch of passport-free and automated immigration processes further enhanced passenger convenience for a seamless travel experience.
Additionally, new airlines and new destinations expanded the airport's global connectivity, offering passengers even more travel options for their journeys. There were eight new passenger airlines that flew from Changi Airport in 2024, including Aero Dili, AirAsia Cambodia, Air Canada, Air Japan, Loong Air, Peach Aviation, Tianjin Airlines and West Air. Travellers are now connected to even more destinations in the world, with Broome, Brussels, Guiyang, Kertajati, Lhasa, Linyi, Malacca, Phu Quoc, Quanzhou, Vancouver, and Wenzhou adding to cities directly connected to Changi Airport.
Looking ahead, Changi Airport will continue to strive for seamless and stress-free journeys to all passengers, making their passage at the airport warm and memorable.
Passengers can also expect new and exciting dining options across Changi Airport and Jewel Changi Airport. Notably, the refreshed Kopitiam and Singapore Food Street in the public and transit areas of Terminal 3 feature a variety of local Singapore favourites and international delights.
Passengers can also enjoy new spaces such as the freshly launched Fit&Fun Zone in Terminal 2 transit, an innovative wellness space that seamlessly combines fitness and entertainment. The space features five vibrant zones where travellers can unwind, engage in interactive activities, and stay active before their flight.
Shoppers can look forward to brand new experiences in Jewel this year. Stay tuned for the arrival of Porsche, featuring a unique space with rotating car displays, a café, and exclusive merchandise. A new adidas flagship store will be opening in 2025 too, offering limited-edition releases, customisation services, and exclusive Jewel-partnered apparel.
