Note: The special National Day price of S$55 per tour has since ended. Interested visitors should refer to Monster Day Tour’s website for updated prices and tour itinerary, which may vary from time to time.
1. Learn about the history and development of Changi Airport
Starting at Terminal 3’s departure hall, visitors will first head to the model of Changi Airport, where you will learn how the current location at Changi has helped Singapore become a leading air hub over the years. The tour guide will also point out special buildings and share fun facts about the airport, such as how Changi safeguards its runways.
2. Experience new contactless technology implemented by Changi Airport for a safer travel experience
At the next stop, the guide will provide some insights into how Changi Airport has adjusted its operations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic to make it safer for passengers. Get to know about the new innovations that were recently introduced in Changi and have a go at trying out the new proximity sensors installed at the automated check-in kiosks. You can actually select options just by hovering your finger close to the screen, without touching!
When air travel gradually resumes, such new technology and cleaning innovations will enable Changi Airport to deliver the highest standard of safety and hygiene, so travellers can have a peace of mind whenever they pass through during their journey.
3. Re-live fun times at the arcade and refuel with local refreshments
Remember the days when mobile phones were purely for calls and SMSes, and people needed to head to arcades to play games? You can re-live those good times during this tour with 10 free tokens from ZoneX. After the fun and games, head over next door to enjoy freshly prepared Roti Pratas and drinks on Mr Teh Tarik, all included as part of the tour!
What’s more, if you are keen to purchase more tokens from ZoneX, you can get 125 tokens for S$20 after the tour, which works out to a discount of 36% (offer is only valid on the day of your tour). You will also be able to enjoy 10% off any ala-carte items from Mr Teh Tarik at Terminal 3, with a minimum spend of S$10 (offer is valid till 30 September 2020). Just show your tour booking confirmation to enjoy these discounts!
4. Learn fun facts about Jewel’s development and breathe in fresh air produced by trees around the world
A visit to the airport would not be complete without a trip to Jewel, where visitors can enjoy a wide range of local and international cuisines, shop in a different ambience, or simply relax amidst natural surroundings at the Forest Valley.
As you enjoy a leisurely walk down the Forest Valley, breathe in fresh air produced by trees from around the world, learn about the interesting design features of Jewel, as well as some of the challenges that the development team faced during its construction, and how these were eventually resolved.
5. Support local brands, enjoy discounts at Changi and Jewel after your tour
Jewel was designed to be a combination of a ‘great park’ and ‘great marketplace’. As you head out of the Forest Valley into the marketplace, you will be greeted by one of the most popular local brands - the Rich & Good cake shop. Jewel is the only other place in Singapore where you can buy their daily sold out swiss rolls, besides their first shop at Kandahar Street. In fact, it took a lot of convincing from the Jewel team for the owner to finally agree to opening another outlet at Jewel, as they were initially worried about whether they could produce enough swiss rolls to supply to two outlets.
Travelling upwards towards Canopy Park at level five, you will find the Tiger Street Lab. Here is the only place in Singapore where you can customise your own bottle of Tiger beer, making it the perfect gift option for those on the lookout for something unique for their beer-loving friends.
Expect a fun-filled learning experience during the tour and also support our local guides and brands at the same time! So visit Monster Day Tour’s website today to book this and other tours. But if you still prefer to be free and easy, heading over to explore Changi or Jewel on your own is also a great option! Just spend S$10 at any participating outlet in Changi Airport to enjoy free parking for the first hour! See you soon at Changi!
