A play date with PEANUTS and BT21 this June school holidays at Changi Airport

Itching to have some fun this school holidays? Changi Airport’s the place to go! Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang have come to town this June for a whole month of fun, from now till 11 July in fact. And if that’s not exciting enough, there’s more! For the first time in Southeast Asia, enjoy an interactive musical experience with the eight characters of BT21 in Jewel. Whether you’re looking to spend a day out with the fam or want activities that can occupy your kids while you take a breather or high tea, there’s something for everyone!

1. Experience winter wonderland at the PEANUTS Snow Hangout

Snow in sunny Singapore? That’s right! Located at Terminal 3 Departure Hall, the snow fun house attraction makes its return to Changi Airport but this time, it’s PEANUTS-themed.  

Kids can ride the Snow Luge (for children above the age of seven) down from the second storey of the Peanuts Snow Hangout before crashing into the snow pit for some snow fun! Or dig through an avalanche with excavators at the digging site (for children above the age of 12) and have a go at the mini snow slide with snow scooters.  

If you were hoping to catch some snow this school holidays, here’s your chance. Treat yourself to a snowfall light and sound show that happens at each session. Immerse yourself in a PEANUTS snowfall experience and be transported to a winter wonderland!

Winter jackets and boots are provided (for participants aged three and above) at the Snow Hangout but remember to wear waterproof pants and bring along gloves and socks to keep you extra warm while you play in the snow!

Pro-Tip: Bring an extra mask along to change into after you’re done with your snow session. Waterproof pants (S$3.50) and gloves (S$2.50 per pair) can be rented, and socks can be purchased at S$2.50 per pair if you need them.

Opening hours: Opens daily from 11:00am to 10:00pm
Duration: 50 minutes (including time for registration, changing into winter wear and 20 – 25 minutes of playtime)
Redemption criteria: Purchase a pass directly on the iChangi app at S$18/pass or purchase a discounted pass at S$5/pass (U.P. S$18) for every S$30 spent (S$50 for supermarkets) in a single receipt (capped at two redemptions per receipt). Spend with Mastercard or Changi Pay to redeem one additional discounted pass.

2. Go on a photo adventure around Changi with the PEANUTS Gang

If you’re not a fan of the cold, there’s other ways you can take part in The Snoopy Adventure. Located at different spots in Terminal 3, go on a photo adventure and snap away at all the photo spots featuring the entire PEANUTS Gang! Not to be missed is the five-metre tall Snoopy and Woodstock Topiary located at T3’s Departure Hall.  

For a little extra family fun, challenge one another to see who can take the best shots. To help you out, here’s a list of all the five photo spots for you to hang out with Snoopy and the gang.

• Fun with PEANUTS - Terminal 3 Basement 2, opposite Kopitiam food court

We recommend visiting the photo spot opposite Kopitiam last, so you can head on to redeem your premiums for the kids, get your artistic hats out and enjoy a free colouring and acrylic-rubbing session right next to the activity corner beside the redemption booth!

3. Premiums that will make you go nuts!

What’s a holiday without presents? After spending the day at Changi, head down to T3’s Basement 2 and get your hands on exclusive PEANUTS merchandise such as mini convertible backpacks, canvas sling bags and tumblers! Simply spend S$30 (S$50 for supermarket spends) in a single receipt and purchase these premiums at S$8.90 each.  

Pro-tip: Pay with MasterCard or Changi Pay to purchase one additional premium of your choice.

4. Jam out with VAN and friends from BT21

Spread across the Shiseido Forest Valley and Canopy Park, jam out and snap away with the eight characters from BT21 – KOYA, RJ, SHOOKY, MANG, CHIMMY, TATA, COOKY and VAN - as they arrive in Jewel for a musical-themed journey this June from now to 17 July 2022. 

Standing at 4.5 metres tall and lit up at night, be greeted by a larger-than-life VAN atop a boombox at the Shiseido Forest Valley. Then, head over to Canopy Park to meet the rest of the BT21 family and create special memories with each of the characters! Groove on the interactive galactic floor at each display which lights up as you step on it to dance.

For BTS fans – dance and sing along as the Korean group’s hit single ‘Dynamite’ lights up the HSBC Rain Vortex with a mesmerizing light and sound show, happening daily from now to 17 July at 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm. The show is free for all to enjoy, so head down and jam out in front of the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.  

5. Experience a Night at the Airport in Jewel, and more

In other parts of Jewel, a whole list of other exciting activities await visitors this school holidays. Ever wondered what it’s like to have a sleepover in an airport? Switch up your usual sleepovers with the “A Night at the Airport” camp, where you get to spend a night in the Changi Experience Studio amongst many other things. From an Airport Family Quest to airport-themed crafts, this overnight airport camp is the perfect way to bond with your family!

There are also other standalone activities if you’re looking for shorter programmes.  The “A Day in the Life of a Changi Trolley” Design Thinking Workshop is perfect for kids with a creative mind and those who love letting their imagination run wild. In this workshop, they will learn some key elements of design thinking and get the chance to create a prototype of their dream airport in the future!

For kids interested in robotics or programming, they can try their hands at the Changi RoboMaster Challenge. From programming a DJI RoboMaster robot via Scratch coding and operating it to compete in an airport-themed arena, this hands-on workshop will introduce the little ones to the world of artificial intelligence. As a bonus, take a tour around the Changi Experience Studio and interact with the different exhibits to understand the inner workings of Changi Airport!

6. Movie under the stars and Glamping with BT21

Glamping at Jewel’s Cloud9 Piazza returns with a BT21 theme this year. For all BT21 fans, enjoy a magical stayover under the stars with a view of the HSBC Rain Vortex, and spend the night in a BT21-themed glamping tent with your loved ones.  

If you’re not a fan of sleepovers, get together during the day instead with the glampicnic – bring along your own picnic baskets or pre-order a feast from Changi Eats and have them delivered to your tent.

For the movie-goers, enjoy movie night with your family at Jewel’s Silent Movie happening at the Foggy Bowls in Canopy Park! With dedicated seating pods and personal headsets, enjoy a private movie with maximum enjoyment under the stars. Selections range from musical comedy ‘Sing’ to the all-time favourite ‘Up’. Snacks can be purchased online when you get your tickets, and they will be available on-site for sale as well.
