It’s now your tech-savvy kid’s turn to take the lead in the latest play attraction here at Jewel Changi Airport - the Jewel-rassic Quest! Let your kid be immersed in the dino-verse as they go back in time to meet the friendly (and some ferocious) dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous period. Among the many activities for kids at Changi Airport, this is a new and unique one for them to see what others won’t see inside Jewel - through Augmented Reality (AR). Here’s more on what you are in for on this prehistoric journey.
Note to parents: your enthusiastic kid might take you on an adventurous roam around Jewel. Dress comfortably!
Kick start your dino adventure and save the day
Collect the TimeLens from Jewel L1 Concierge to start off your adventure.
The ultimate mission of the Jewel-rassic Quest is to find the AstroJewel. You might be wondering, what is the AstroJewel? It is a special crystal found in some asteroids from millions of years ago, that has the ability to solve global warming today (your kid can save the world!).
Together with the game avatar, Ranger J99, your kid (who will be his sidekick) will have 90 minutes to complete the quest. This is mainly a single-player experience played through a TimeLens device, which will enable you and your kid to see the dinosaurs around you, as well as Ranger J99. So before you start the quest, swing by the Jewel Level 1 Concierge to collect the TimeLens.
To get instructions from Ranger J99 to help you navigate the quest, as well as hear the cool dino sound effects, you can either use the disposable ear piece provided, or connect your own personal audio device that is compatible with the 3.5mm jack. If your kid is playing this game with a sibling or friend, you can request for an audio splitter adapter at the Concierge.
Traverse the Shiseido Forest Valley and Canopy Park to obtain the AstroJewel
Walk around Jewel and look for the next game checkpoint.
As you begin your search for the AstroJewel, keep your eyes peeled for the six checkpoints which are in the form of QR codes. They are scattered within Jewel and can be found on the floor or on glass panels. To help you navigate, open the map in the TimeLens to find the checkpoints.
Hint: the first checkpoint is just right beside the Concierge!
Through the TimeLens, you’ll see many dinosaurs along the way, lumbering around or even fighting one another at the Shiseido Forest Valley.
Your journey will eventually lead you to the Canopy Park which is where the last checkpoint is, and that indicates the end of the quest. Congrats on successfully retrieving the AstroJewel!
Hunt for Dino Eggs along the way
Look out for Dinosaur eggs and learn about some fun facts on Jewel.
If your kid is up for more challenges, take on the Dino Egg Hunt during or after the quest! Either way, you’ll be surprised with some trivia facts about Jewel found inside each egg. There are six Dino Egg Hunt checkpoints to hunt.
Round up the fun with Mini Games
Find out if your dino friend likes our local delicacies as much as you do!
Continue your adventure and meet the dinos up close and one-on-one through the mini games you have unlocked after completing the main quest. Get ready to feed the dinosaurs (which includes some Singaporean favourite grubs!) or become an archaeologist and dust off some fossil bones. Remember to take some photos while you’re at it!
Snap photos with the dinosaurs to bring back home
Snap some Insta-worthy poses with the 3D dinosaurs inside Jewel!
What is an attraction without memories you can bring home? There are eight dinosaurs all around Jewel waiting for a picture with you! Give your best dino pose with them and these pictures will be sent to you via e-mail at the end of the quest. You can take up to 50 photos with the dinosaurs! Once you’re done, don’t forget to return the TimeLens and accessories to the Level 1 Concierge.

If you want to meet more dinos, complete your dinosaur journey with a short visit to the Jurassic Mile - you’ll be up close and personal with some of the biggest dinosaur displays – this time, ones that you can touch and feel!
