As new parents, you are constantly on the look-out for a one-stop family destination - a mall that has activities to keep the kids entertained, shops that cater to both the kid and the parents, restaurants where you can have a delicious meal with a view and a clean changing room for nappy-changing. What you are looking for is a parent’s haven and that haven is Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel).
With a wide range of activities and shops, you can easily spend a fun day at Jewel with your little ones. Here are five tips to maximise your trip to Jewel!
1. Dresscode – Fun
Prepare for a day of family fun at Jewel by dressing for the occasion! There are dozens of photo-worthy spots and picturesque play areas so you should dress your child comfortably (think comfy shoes for running around and loose-fitting clothes for all that stretching they are going to be doing) to enjoy the different attractions at Jewel.
If you are hunting for the latest fashion for your child, Jewel carries a wide range of children's clothing and footwear including Uniqlo, Muji, Fila Kids and Crocs.

2. Be prepared for any situation
Here is something all parents have to deal with – emergencies.
Be ready by packing spare diapers and 1-2 extra sets of clothes just in case they need a change. You would be glad to know that there are Baby Care facilities conveniently located at every floor from Basement 2 to Level 4. The Baby Care facilities are spacious, comfortable, and come with privacy rooms for nursing mums.
Travel light by loaning a stroller from the concierge counters on Levels 1 and 2 (a refundable S$50 deposit is required). If you need something bigger, head over to the Baggage Storage counter (also on Level 1, just opposite the concierge counters) where you can rent a baby wagon. Charges start from S$5 an hour for strollers and S$10 for baby wagons or tandem strollers.
Should you forget or run out of essentials, simply head to FairPrice Finest located at Basement 2 for diapers, milk powder, wet wipes, or snacks to keep the young ones happy.
If the situation calls for medication or a plaster, you will be able to find what you need from Watsons that is directly opposite FairPrice Finest at Basement 2. For more specialised needs, Mothercare at Level 4 will get you sorted out with milk bottles, wetbags and everything else you will need to keep your child comfortable.
3. Have fun in the process
Set off to explore the expansive 14,000 sqm Canopy Park at the top of Jewel (Level 5) with high tempo activities like the Bouncing Net, Hedge Maze and Mirror Maze. Or if you prefer a slower tempo, discover what it means to frolic at the Foggy Bowls swirling with misty air that delight the kids, or stroll through the Petal Garden and Topiary Walk where they can spot some of their favourite animals.
Apart from Canopy Park, Level 4 of Jewel is carefully curated for families with kids. You will find the only physical Pokemon Center located outside of Japan here, along with Action City, The Better Toy Shop, Times Junior, Turtle, Fun Claw and Jolly Fields by Zoomoov - a dual concept experience for children between 2 and 12 years old where they can take an electronic ride or play at its sensory playground.
The open play area at Level 3 is back too! This play area is located between Tim Ho Wan and Dyson.
4. Kids eat for free at these family-friendly restaurants
There are over 100 F&B options at Jewel and you will find that dining with kids at Jewel is not only hassle-free but can also be free-of-charge for children at certain restaurants. Here are four such restaurants where kids dine free!

5. Shoot it
Capture precious moments of your kiddos against the many Instagrammable backdrops at Jewel. Beside the iconic HSBC Rain Vortex, here are four other areas to take photos with your kids:
Get to a vantage point and try to capture the Skytrain that ploughs between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 below the HSBC Rain Vortex. Borrow items in the foreground like plants or leaves to provide additional depth of field.
Slow down time with your phone’s slow-motion mode to transform a seemingly normal video into a dramatic scene of the HSBC Rain Vortex at Basement 1.
As you venture into the Shiseido Forest Valley, you will discover paths and hidden steps which lead to the upper levels that blend elements of nature with the retail shops. Take in a sweeping view of the valley with your family from the top.
Not for the faint-hearted, the Mastercard® Canopy Bridge places you at the closest points to the HSBC Rain Vortex and makes for a memorable spot for a family photo.
