If you’re looking to add more places to your travel bucket list is, here’s some good news – there’s another new city in China that you can now explore directly from Singapore! West Air is flying once a week to Dali, a hidden gem in the Yunnan Province. It is the first time Changi Airport is connected to the city, so get ready to jet off to another exciting new destination. 

Flights to Dali are seasonal and available till May 2025, perfectly timed to coincide with the stunning spring season in the city. Think mild temperatures, beautiful blooms, and the perfect atmosphere for outdoor adventures.

Nestled between the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, Dali is a hidden gem that attracts visitors with its tranquil atmosphere, scenic views and fascinating history.

A boat ride on Erhai Lake is a must-do, with the pleasant spring weather making it an ideal time to experience the beauty of the lake up close. If you're feeling adventurous, hiking in the Cangshan Mountains provides an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the region, and the mild temperatures make the climb much more enjoyable. 

Exploring Dali Ancient Town in spring is an experience in itself. The narrow streets, local markets and Bai architecture look even more inviting against the backdrop of blooming flowers and clear skies. Don’t forget to visit the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, which are especially stunning when surrounded by the vibrant colours of spring.

For a deeper dive into local culture, visiting a Bai (one of the major ethnic minorities in Dali) minority village or attending a Bai festival provides an immersive experience. West Air will be operating out of Changi Airport’s Terminal 4 once a week, with flights departing Singapore Changi Airport at 3:15pm and arriving at Dali Fengyi Airport at 7:15pm. Meanwhile, return flights will depart at 10:05am and will arrive in Singapore at 2:15pm.
