We have rounded up some of the best things you will not want to miss on your next visit to Terminal 2. From Changi’s signature horticulture creations and refreshed amenities, to new and exciting dining and shopping delights, read on to find out why this could easily become our favourite terminal yet!
1. Marvel at the stunning designs and experience a seamless travel journey
Inspired by nature, Terminal 2 incorporates elements of minerals, water, and lush greenery in various forms in the architecture and design. This is evident in the design of its wall cladding and flooring, giving off an earthy ambience that soothes the senses.
Just like the indoor waterfall in Jewel Changi Airport, there’s a calming effect within the terminal that is alluring – a perfect mix of top-notch facilities with rustic charm.
What about Changi’s iconic horticultural wonders in the revamped terminal? We’ve dedicated a whole section to the captivating creations in the story below.
The new departure hall now houses a central common-use Fast and Seamless Travel (FAST) zone, where passengers can breeze through the check-in process at automated kiosks. The process of checking in your baggage and preparing for your flight at Terminal 2 is now smoother than ever before.
Currently 12 airlines operate from Changi Airport’s Terminal 2, with more that will move to the terminal next month. If you’re going on a trip soon, do check your flight itinerary before heading to the airport, as you may be flying from the new Terminal 2.
2. Interact with the Flap Pix exhibit
Do you remember the iconic flight information display boards with its 1,080 split-flaps, also called the Solari Boards, that used to be in Terminal 2 Departure Hall? One of them has been transformed into an interactive masterpiece in the public area of Terminal 2 – an art piece that can be personalised for each and every passenger and visitor.
Snap a photo with your phone at the exhibit or select from a range of preset designs and watch the interactive display craft a personalised artwork with the Solari Board flaps. An absolute must for a memorable photo opportunity!

3. Dine in a garden before your flight
The new Gourmet Garden in Terminal 2 Transit is probably one of the most photogenic places to rest and refuel before your flight from Changi Airport, with undisrupted views of the tarmac and taxiway. An absolute haven for food enthusiasts, given its long list of dining outlets, you will be spoilt for choice in this yummy garden.
Visit GOPIZZA – a Korean pizza concept serving up personal sized and fresh pizza – and have a taste of classic pizza flavours like the OG Pepperoni Pizza. For the more adventurous, there are fusion flavours available too, like the K-Bulgogi Pizza and K-Chicken Pizza. While you’re waiting for your pizzas to be delivered fresh out of the oven, you can order ice cream and check out how the robotic arm at the counter serves it to passengers in the queue.
For those looking for a sweet treat or a tasty coffee, you can grab your favourite order at Hudsons Coffee.
More dining options will be opening at the Gourmet Garden later in 2023, including Luke’s Lobster and Hard Rock Café. Stay tuned!
Location: Terminal 2 Transit, South Gourmet Garden
If you are looking for dining options before departure immigration, try the wide selection at GO Noodle House at level 3 and Heavenly Wang at level 1. Alternatively, check out PappaRich for your dose of Asian cuisine with its Penang Assam Laksa, Nasi Lemak and many other delicious staple Malaysian cuisine.
But that's not all! Calling all dim sum enthusiasts and night owls! One of Singapore’s most beloved dim sum joints, Swee Choon Tim Sum, will also be opening soon at Terminal 2 Arrival Hall. Get ready for an extensive range of delectable dim sum offerings and round-the-clock operating hours to satisfy your cravings at any time.
4. Be wow-ed by special horticultural features
As you enter the Terminal 2 Departure Hall from the vehicle drop-off points, you will be greeted with a welcoming sight: Changi Airport’s signature horticultural wonders – green columns adorned with lush plants, ferns, and a tapestry of greenery. With columns of varying heights, the tallest stands at 11 metres high, mimicking majestic tree trunks draped with plants found in rainforests.
For passengers and visitors at the Terminal 2 Arrival Hall, you will discover an oasis where passengers and visitors can unwind on the seats at the base of the green columns. It’s just like taking a moment to relax on benches, rocks or fallen tree trunks in a rainforest.
Another horticultural wonder that you should not miss is the lush green walls and enchanting overhead beams at the Gourmet Garden.
Passengers are in for an exhilarating time as they are greeted by a staggering 180 metres of wall cladded with greenery and climbing plants gracefully draped overhead. It is an extraordinary experience for anyone enjoying a meal or a quick bite before their flight.
For those who want to catch the most vibrant and eye-catching blooms, don’t miss the Enchanted Garden within Terminal 2 Transit. Bursting with a wide variety of orchids and soft ferns, this is one space where you won’t be able to resist constantly snapping photos for your social media feed.
5. Climb and explore the 2 Bears Hideout playground
If you are travelling with your little ones and need a place to keep them happily entertained at the massive international airport, the new 2 Bears Hideout is the best place to burn off some energy right before your flight.
Step into a mini wilderness right here in the airport at this imaginative playscape, complete with mother bear and baby bear.
Here’s the best part: you can keep a watchful eye on your little adventurers while enjoying the view of the tarmac and taxiway as the play area is set right beside the floor-to-ceiling windows at the transit area.
Location: Terminal 2 Transit, North Gourmet Garden
6. Relax at the TV Lounge and catch live sporting events
Located right next to the South Gourmet Garden, you will find the TV Lounge – a perfect spot to kick back and watch live sporting events on a massive 245-inch screen. With more than 20 comfortable individual seats decked out with charging stations, it is the ultimate place to sink into plush seats, catch some entertainment and give your devices a power boost before take-off.

7. Shop to your heart’s content at some of the newest stores
No Changi Experience is truly complete without a bit of shopping. With a carefully curated collection of shops, including several new-to-Changi brands, you can stock up on local souvenirs, beauty products, and more at duty-free prices before your next flight and satisfy the shopaholic in you.
Our recommendation for the first stop within the transit area of Terminal 2? Old Seng Choong located near the TV Lounge. Pick up snacks, cakes and food souvenirs at this local brand that is new-to-Changi and well-loved for its unique bakes filled with local Singapore flavours.
Try the distinctive-flavoured bak kut teh cookies, filled with aromas of the popular dish of pork ribs in peppery broth. Other signature items include the Black Truffle Bak Kwa (slices of barbecued pork infused with premium black truffle oil), Pandan Chiffon Cake and Kueh Lapis (a traditional Southeast Asian layered cake).
Looking for even more snacks to munch or as souvenirs to take with you on your flight? Get flavoured popcorn at myEureka’s biggest outlet in Changi Airport at the store in Terminal 2 Transit. Our favourite flavours have got to be caramel, seaweed and salted egg!
If you are in the mood to indulge in some luxury, explore Pomellato within Terminal 2 Transit. A new-to-Changi brand, this Italian jeweller specialises in handcrafted contemporary fine jewellery featuring precious and semi-precious stones.
You will also find familiar favourites such as TWG Tea, Adidas and Rimowa in the transit shopping street.
With so many exciting things to see, eat and do, the refreshed Terminal 2 is brimming with experiences and attractions waiting to be explored. Remember to set aside some time to check out the wonders of the terminal and immerse yourself in the magical world of Singapore Changi Airport!
