Murad’s account also documents the couple’s engagement, their wedding and incredible honeymoon. From palaces and idyllic tropical beaches to ancient ruins and stormy clifftops, these photos have earned Murad over 4.3 million followers.

Here are some unique locations for your own ultimate snapshot in the island-nation.

Lead your love along the treetops

A popular spot for nature enthusiasts and athletes alike, the MacRitchie Reservoir Park is a 12ha green sanctuary offering visitors a respite from the urban sprawl. Take a hike into the forest, making sure to keep drinks and food away from prying monkeys!

There are two trails: 3.2km and 4.8km. Both will lead you to the TreeTop Walk, a 250m suspended bridge that connects the two highest points in the park. This pathway is the perfect setting for a #FollowMeTo snap, thanks to stunning panoramic views of verdant greenery.

Capture that magnificent Merlion

Down by the Merlion Park

Sitting on the opposite side of the Marina Bay Sands, you’ll find a Singapore icon worthy of a #FollowMeTo photo. With the head of a lion and the body of a fish, this mythical creature represents Singapore’s humble beginnings as a fishing port and its more recent reputation as the Lion City. Snap a shot in front of the Merlion with jets of water spurting from its mouth.

Take a walk down quirky Haji Lane

An area where the first Javanese migrants in Singapore settled, eclectic shophouses line its narrow lanes and colourful wall murals create a bohemian feel. With its trendy boutiques and quirky cafes, this is a great place to while away the hours with your other half. Try to capture the place in all its hipster glory in the photo with your loved one.

Surf the Henderson Waves

Amidst the trees and greenery along the Southern Ridges Walk lies the Henderson Waves – a curving, twisting bridge in the shape of a wave, made of steel arches and thick Southeast Asian Balau wood.

Pack your cameras and phones and set out with your love for a hike along the trail that takes you through the Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park. You’ll find great spots along the way to capture some breathtaking views of the island but make sure you get one on the bridge itself.

And if you feel a little tired, take a break and rest along the romantic shades on the side of the bridge and make it an impromptu date!

Look beyond the beaten path and explore as many locales as you can to find the perfect backdrop for your #FollowMeTo series.

Capture the nostalgia of Chinatown

The only problem with looking for spots in Chinatown for your #FollowMeTo snap would be deciding where to start! Despite the name, Chinatown is a place of cultural amalgamation – home to Chinese, Hindu and Buddhist temples, museums, local food streets, hip restaurants and bars, and even modern high-rise buildings.

Get a snap of you leading your love towards the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, the Sri Mariamman Temple or the Thian Hock Keng Temple. And who said you only have to eat at the Chinatown Food Street? As good as the variety of food is, you cannot afford to miss taking a #FollowMeTo photo along the bustling street, with rows of shophouses, locals and expat tourists in the backdrop.
