Singapore is one of the top party destinations in the world for a reason. Your itinerary for a good night out here could include anything from enjoying a live jazz performance, dancing to the latest beats of your favourite international DJ, to catching a burlesque show. To make things easier for you, we’ve picked five of our favourite nightlife establishments, each offering a unique vibe or style, that we think are must-visits when you are in Singapore.

The ambience here oozes of nostalgic charm with quirky graffiti walls, peekaboo curtains, chandeliers, lipstick-stained napkins and jukeboxes. With live jazz gigs, international DJ performances and burlesque shows, an evening here is always packed with crazy experiences. When it comes to the spirits, Lulu’s bar menu packs a punch. Their innovative twists on classic cocktails are nothing short of spectacular.

The drink concoctions are lit here and will give you a good buzz – go for either the Loosen Mai Tai: A spin on the classic Mai Tai using handmade Venezuelan silk rum, orgeat and yuzu for an almond and citrus hit; or the Cherry Red Lace: A sultry take on the Manhattan with sweet vermouth, cherry liqueur, angostura bitters and blood orange.

Want to dance like there’s no tomorrow? Head directly to Zouk. This two-floor, award-winning nightclub is regarded as Singapore’s premier dance institution and is loved by tourists and locals alike. It is a cluster of unique concepts featuring dance stages - Zouk and Phuture, and the sophisticated art-spotting club, Capital. Additionally, a pre-game watering hole, RedTail Bar, features a beer pong table, giant Jenga and more! The fact that they have numerous in-house DJs and continuously feature a stellar line-up of international acts like Tiesto, Hardwell, Roger Sanchez and Afrojack to the decks only proves that Zouk truly takes their parties seriously. The bar menu at Zouk is crammed with ‘must-have’ wines and cocktails. So, if you are looking for the complete package, this should definitelybe on your list.

Pro tip: For all the fans of 80s and 90s hits, Zouk's famous retro club night, Mambo Jambo, brings back all your favourite hits from the heyday to belt out and boogie to, and will truly be a night to remember. This happens every one to two months, so do keep a lookout for updates on Zouk’s website.

Insider tips:

Must tries here include the signature sour plum-infused vodka shots (available throughout Zouk) – they might not taste like it, but are pretty potent! If you’re feeling peckish, the bangers and mash (available at RedTail Bar) are well-loved by everyone.

Good to know:

Cover charges vary depending on the event and DJ of the night, but most nights it’s $30-$40 for the ladies, and $40-$50 for men – which typically includes one house pour drink.

Insta-worthy ambience. Heart-thumping music. Electrifying light display. Twice the size of the iconic Zouk lounge – Marquee is one of the hottest clubs in Singapore. Spanning three different floors, it has a full-sized, eight-armed Ferris wheel. You read that right – a Ferris wheel! Each of the capsules in the Ferris wheel also doubles up as four-person photo booths which snaps both images and gifs. There’s also a pair of slides that are 3 storeys tall. Needless to say, they slay their beats – Tiesto, Afrojack, Kaskade and Steve Aoki are just a few of the celebrity DJs who have helmed their controls since they opened in 2019. Marquee has four bars, accessible from all three floors. So, no matter which level you are partying on, you are never too far away from a drink.

Insider favourites:

The three-storey spiral slide, named Sunny Slide Up, is equipped with colourful flashing lights within so that you get to enjoy a psychedelic swirling descent along the way. Take turns with your friends to go on the slide – having someone stationed at the base of the slide will allow you to capture some legit #instaworthy content!

Good to know:

Men can expect to pay between $30 and $75 and women between $20 and $50 for entry into the club depending on the event and DJ of the night.
For holiday events and special performances, the cost for cover charge may increase.

Dress code is upscale casual; button-down collared shirts and dress shoes for gentlemen.

Tickets are available for events featuring guest DJs but do note that they get sold out really quickly upon release, so do keep your eyes peeled for notifications on Marquee’s Facebook and Instagram.

Imagine yourself on the rooftop of the iconic Marina Bay Sands, sipping handcrafted cocktails as you immerse yourself in the 360-degree panoramic sights of Singapore’s Downtown Core. The only words on your mind are – CE LA VI (which means ‘this is life’ in Italian). Another favourite of international jet setters and fashionable residents, its contemporary Italian-American rooftop restaurant, Lavo, is one of the premier lounges in Singapore. In the evenings, the restaurant transforms into a sleek nightclub that hosts some of the best celebrity DJs from around the world. Their food menu is impressive and we strongly recommend their signature dishes – Chicken Parmigiano and 20-layer chocolate cake. The bar also serves some of the best cocktails in Singapore.

Here, the early bird catches the worm – if you’re visiting CE LA VI for the first time, come early around 6.30pm to get a table and be comfy to enjoy the stunning view of the sunset over the Singapore skyline.
