1. Hong Kong, China
If, like us, you had tons of friends jetting off to Hong Kong for a holiday in 2024 (and probably still going in 2025!), you know this city is the place to be.
Hong Kong’s vivacious skyline and misty harbour always make for beautiful photos. A unique city that hums with the heartbeat of old-world traditions, Hong Kong is also a fast-paced hub of business and innovation that is known as a foodie’s and shopper’s paradise.
Trek Victoria Peak and you’ll be rewarded with panoramic vistas, and head to Temple Street Night Market to savour classic street food. Travel back in time when you visit the incense-laden temples of Wong Tai Sin, and relish unique experiences when you enter Hong Kong’s top-ranked speakeasy bars.
For families, Disneyland and Ocean Park provide world-class entertainment, while cultural gems like the Big Buddha and Tai O Fishing Village showcase the city’s rich heritage.
How to get there: Multiple airlines such as Cathay Pacific, Scoot and Singapore Airlines operate 4-hour direct flights to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city where there is great food, culture, fun and natural scenery all in one space. There're so many activities to do; I would visit my friends, eat dim sum and yummy cantonese food, shop, visit the theme parks and hike the various peaks when I'm there!
2. Iceland
Take your Iceland holiday to the next level with an Arctic Adventures tour – experience the best of Iceland's weather and landscapes! Iceland’s Golden Circle unveils a land sculpted by fire and ice, where the Haukadalur geysers and mighty Gullfoss waterfall roar with untamed power. Rent a car or book a tour to experience the majesty of Golden Circle, which also comprises the Þingvellir National Park, the black sand beaches of Reynisfjara and the stunning glacier lagoon at Jökulsárlón.
Beyond this iconic route lies the ethereal beauty of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where luminous icebergs drift in a sapphire embrace.
Discover ice caves and awe-inspiring glaciers when you trek Landmannalaugar and Vatnajökull National Park. Then journey along the South Coast to marvel at renowned waterfalls like Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. A drive to the active volcano Fagradalsfjall too is definitely worth the trip.
For a taste of Iceland’s diverse culinary landscape, visit Dill Restaurant, which is Iceland's first Michelin-starred restaurant and offers a contemporary twist on Nordic cuisine with local seasonal ingredients. In Reykjavík, there’s also the acclaimed Matur og Drykkur restaurant that serves traditional classics like fermented shark and lamb.
How to get there: There aren’t any direct flights from Singapore to Iceland, but you can transit at European capitals like London, Amsterdam, or Copenhagen (several flights depart for these cities daily) to get to Reykjavík.
Iceland is a destination of unparalleled natural beauty, and I would love to visit this island with my wife to experience its dramatic landscapes and unique adventures together. From exploring majestic waterfalls like Skógafoss and Gullfoss to soaking in the Blue Lagoon’s warm geothermal waters, Iceland offers a chance to connect with nature in ways that are both relaxing and awe-inspiring. The chance to witness the Northern Lights dancing across the sky would be a magical shared experience, one that creates memories to last a lifetime. Additionally, we could explore the volcanic craters, hike through glacier-capped mountains, and drive the scenic Golden Circle. Iceland’s blend of natural wonders and serenity makes it a perfect destination to immerse ourselves in adventure and tranquility.
3. London, England
Founded around the first century by the Romans as “Londinium”, London is an ever-evolving mega city that serves as the backdrop to many important business, fashion, sporting and musical events.
History whispers through cobblestone alleys and echoes in the chimes of the recently restored Big Ben. The regal sweep of Buckingham Palace and the hallowed halls of Westminster blend with the electric pulse of Shoreditch and the mesmerising glow of the West End. Along the Thames, the Tower of London stands guard, a relic of kings and conquerors, while the London Eye spins stories of the city’s kaleidoscope of cultures.
Wander the vibrant streets of Covent Garden, take a leisurely stroll through Hyde Park, enjoy panoramic city views from The Shard, and eat to your heart’s content at the eclectic stalls of Borough Market.
How to get there: A 15-hour Singapore Airlines flight will bring you from Changi Airport to Heathrow Airport or London Gatwick Airport in 15 hours. Other airlines that fly direct to London’s Heathrow Airport are British Airways and Qantas Airways.
For me, London is a very dreamy city with its stunning architecture, gorgeous iconic landmarks, and plenty of beautiful art galleries and museums to visit. My bucket-list someday is to visit London during Christmas. I love Christmas lights, so I really really want to soak in the Christmas vibes and see all colourful Christmas decorations and lights.

Ambling down electric Times Square and enjoying the breeze along the High Line are quintessential experiences that make New York special.

In this precinct, you should also check out famous comedy clubs like the Comedy Cellar and Gotham Comedy Club, where many famous comics like Dave Chapelle and Jo Koy cut their teeth.
For an unforgettable epicurean experience, visit New York’s Chinatown and Little Italy, which are adjacent to each other. And for the coolest art exhibitions, fashion launches and underground parties, take the subway to Brooklyn. If you’d like to escape the hubbub, drive upstate to see quaint townships that live in harmony with an array of wildlife.

New Zealand is nature’s masterpiece, where viridescent fjords carve deep into mist-shrouded mountains, and ancient glaciers gleam under a cobalt sky. The otherworldly beauty of Milford Sound feels like a hymn to the Earth, while the geothermal wonders of Rotorua bubble and steam in surreal hues.
Book a tour or rent a car to see the emerald meadows of Hobbiton and the jagged peaks of Tongariro. We also highly recommend making a trip to see the golden sands and turquoise waters of Abel Tasman. For centuries, Paris has championed artistic expression and attracted artists from around the world seeking inspiration. After you explore must-visit icons like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, follow the Seine River around this historic island city to meet neighbourhood grocers selling fresh produce and hardworking fashion designers waiting to be discovered.
While following this ancient river, admire the exquisite details of its extravagant bridges, which have witnessed the lavish parades of famous leaders, from King Louis XIV to Napoleon Bonaparte.
Be sure to set aside a day for the Louvre Museum and the Palace of Versailles too. And if you’re travelling with children, a day trip to Disneyland Paris has to be on your list.
How to get there: Carriers like Air France and Singapore Airlines fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport daily, and the flight takes about 14 hours.
I've always dreamt of going to a romantic destination with my wife, to lock our love at the love lock Bridge, to look at Mona Lisa in the Louvre, and have a candlelight French dinner amidst the backdrop of the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. A perfect trip for lovers, there will be "Neverending nights of love, A great happiness which takes its place, je vois la vie en rose" like what Edith Piaf sang in the song La Vie En Rose.
7. Rome, Italy
An ancient city that is synonymous with gladiators and gods, Rome is a historical treasure trove, inevitably making it one of the best places to visit for history and culture buffs. The more archaeologists dig, the more relics they find that once belonged to the various ancient tribes that lived in Rome.
If you love culture and history, you’ll be engrossed by the breadth and depth of Roman heritage, and you'll find travelling from Singapore to Rome worth every minute. The storied cities of Florence, Naples, and Pompeii are also within driving distance.

It has been my dream to visit Rome ever since I heard wonderful stories from friends and saw amazing pictures online. Where else can I indulge in such a rich culinary and historical adventure? I can already picture myself devouring a pistachio gelato while admiring the grand colosseum in the sun. Walking down the cobblestone streets fuelled by espresso on my way to the next famous sight excites me so much. Plus, every spectacular corner seems to shout, “Instagram me!” with its picturesque ruins, and I can’t wait to create a highlight reel of my epic food comas and the amazing sights. And let’s not forget the Trevi Fountain, where I’d toss in a coin while making a whimsical wish for unlimited money, pizza and the ability to speak Italian.

I’d strut through Gyeongbokgung, pretending to be a time-traveling royal, complete with an imaginary entourage. The street food scene in Myeongdong would be my culinary playground—sampling bizarre delicacies like spicy tteokbokki while simultaneously battling my taste buds. And at night, I’d unleash my inner pop star in a karaoke room, belting out ballads with the enthusiasm of someone who thinks they’re auditioning for the next big K-pop group—complete with dramatic dance moves and lots of glitter!

A realm where snow-capped peaks pierce azure skies, Switzerland is a land of pristine beauty and timeless charm.
