Craving for sweet desserts to end off that perfect meal? Or simply need that sugar-fix? If you are not in Changi Airport or Jewel, you may want to hit the road and head over now! There is a plethora of sweet treats to choose from.

You would have seen plenty of posts on your Instagram feed of the famous hand holding an ice cream cone of cold treat from Birds of Paradise. The range of flavours from Dark Chocolate sorbet to a fruitier twist of lychee raspberry are sure to cool you down on a hot day. But there’s plenty of hidden treats that waiting for you to unravel, just like finding a bunny chocolate on Easter Day’s treasure hunt.

Here are the best places for desserts!

1. Ice Lab

Anneyong! With the growing trend of K-drama and mukbang, it’s almost hard to resist Bingsu in Singapore’s tropical weather. This shaved iced dessert with sweet toppings will have you coming back to try out all the flavours and be spoilt for choices as there are over 10 flavours. Share it with a friend and your day has just gotten sweeter.

2. An Acai Affair

Looking for a place that serves delicious yet healthy desserts? Then An Acai Affair would be the place meant for you. Get a delicious Acai bowl topped with the freshest ingredients like fruits, granola, nuts and superfoods like chia seeds, goji berries and pumpkin seeds. Choose from their menu of signature Acai bowls or customise your very own Acai creation! Both scrumptious and guilt-free, it’s perfect for any time of the day.

3. La Lola Churreria

Not a fan of ice-cream? Say no more fam. We’ve got you covered. Crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside, coated with sugar and cinnamon, churros from La Lola Churreria will hit the spot. Stick to the classic or jazz it up with the churros dip from dark chocolate to matcha and cream cheese. Yums! 

Get them from the takeaway counter and have a little picnic at the Shiseido Forest Valley. Enjoy the warm churros alongside the breath-taking view of HSBC Rain Vortex.

Nestled in the heart of Jewel, Lady M offers you a short respite from the shopping fatigue. A must-try is their Signature Mille Crepes to adventurous flavours such as Rose and Marron (chestnut filling). The perfect combination of handmade crepes and light pastry crème takes this dessert to a new level. Goes well with a cup of tea and you’ll be recharge for the next round of shopping.

5. TheJellyHearts

If you’re looking for a unique cake for someone special, look no further. A recent addition to Terminal 3’s dining options, The Jelly Hearts’s signature jelly cheesecake, is a real feast to both the eyes and mouth. The smooth cheesecake pairs well with the juicy strawberries and the soft, chewy jelly.  Up your game and bring over a chendol or durian jelly cake for the next birthday celebration!

6. Noyah La Maison

Sink your teeth into Straits-Chinese cuisine and desserts at this new Terminal 3 restaurant.

Looking for Instagramable cafes in Singapore? Then you should definitely take a look at the newly opened Noyah La Maison in Changi Airport, which serves peranakan fusion homemade tarts and pastries, all freshly made every morning. Its unique Cendol Tarts and Bandung Sago Tarts are definitely a highlight  not to be missed. The cafĂŠ also has a drinks section where a robotic arm will serve customers coffees, teas, and even sodas as per their order.

7. Rotiboy

Do you miss travelling to Johor Bahru and buying bags of these sweet-smelling coffee buns aka Rotiboy? We got your cravings settled! Now in Terminal 3, Rotiboy has now expanded the menu to include buttermilk, mocha and cheese Bun. Sold individually or in a set of 4 (only because we cannot get enough of it).

Price range: The original flavour is S$2.50 each and S$11.50 for bundle of 5 pieces

8. Tai Cheong Bakery

This is not an ordinary and simple dessert. In fact, Tai Cheong’s egg tarts’ fragrant and buttery crust will leave you reaching out for one more. The egg custard is light and smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness. The bouncy and yet firm surface will instantly break apart once you’ve taken a bite – that’s how soft these tarts are. Time to score extra points and treat your parents to these yummy pastries.
