Are you ready for exciting new destinations and a new flying experience with Scoot? Scoot, the proud little sister of Singapore Airlines, has welcomed the first of nine brand new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft to its fleet at Changi Airport.
Named Explorer 3.0, the aircraft celebrates Scoot's third and newest fleet addition.
This initial Embraer jet, nicknamed the Explorer 3.0, arrived at Changi Airport on 14 April 2024 after a long journey from Embraer's production facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
The aircraft departed on 12 April 2024 and received a warm welcome upon arrival in Singapore, complete with a water cannon salute.
This is just the beginning of Scoot's exciting Embraer journey. Scoot expects to receive all nine E190-E2s by the end of 2025, progressively adding more destinations to its already extensive network. With the new additions, Scoot will be able to connect you to even more hidden gems and popular hotspots in the region, all at the fantastic value you've come to expect.
Scoot is the first Asian carrier to operate the Embraer E2 aircraft, an addition to its existing fleet.
For a start, Scoot unveiled six destinations that the Embraer jets will be flying to from May 2024. The Explorer 3.0 will be used on Scoot’s existing routes to Hat Yai and Krabi from 7 May 2024, increasing flights to both destinations from Changi Airport from seven to 10 flights weekly.
